Keep in mind: Common App says its transfer application is available only through a web browser. Confirm that you are using the application path for your applicant type.

What works in the app, and what does not

First-year applicants can search for colleges, request recommendations, write essays, submit applications and follow deadlines from the mobile app. Transfer applicants are the important exception: Common App says that application is currently available only in a web browser. Sign in with the same account you use on the website so that you continue the same application.

Verify the official listing before signing in

Start from Common App's website or confirm that The Common Application is the developer shown by the app store. A college application contains personal and educational information, so do not enter your account details into an unofficial guide, checklist or similarly named app.
